In 2003 Russell and Lorrie James moved from Idaho to became the new owners of Mountain State Log Homes, Inc.. Since that time they have taken the approach that not everyone wants the same style of log home. They offer options to meet varying design and log home needs for distinct clients. Their product line has expanded to include a multitude of differing styles of log homes. They realize that not everyone’s vision of a dream home is the same.

One of the goals of Mountain State Log Homes, Inc. has been to build its business one client at a time, just as they build each house one log at a time. The owners, Russell and Lorrie have made a commitment to continuing to serve their clients to the best of their ability. They are fortunate to work with a log yard in Canada that has been handcrafting log homes and commercial buildings for over twenty-seven years and prides itself on craftsmanship and production efficiency. The exclusive contract between the two companies has allowed both to grow and flourish in a very competitive market. With 4 tower cranes in the yard and room for expansion, together, they are ready to meet the surge in sales anticipated in the future. This enables them to serve many people who want not only the best service, but the best log home money can buy.

Log homes have been in existence for hundreds of years, but it is amazing how much the log home industry has changed in just the last 15 years. Mountain State Log Homes, Inc. has contributed to some of the change by developing a house-to-foundation connection that has saved clients hundreds of dollars in up front costs. Unfortunately the unique system was never patented, but we are flattered that others have copied it. We continue to strive to improve the methods of construction of log homes.
