Up one levelThere are four very important areas to consider in the customization of your log home. Please read the following four pages to understand fully all options available to you.
Species
We supply the following four species of wood for your home: Englemann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Douglas Fir, and Western Red Cedar.
Log Corners
There are 4 types of saddle notches used in handcrafting saddle notch corners. They range from the simple to the complex and from the standard to the visually dramatic.
Diameters
Typically our logs are 12"-14" mean diameter. Larger 16"-18" mean diameter logs are also available upon request.
Surface
Mountain State Log Homes offers two options for surfacing your logs. They can be Clean peeled, or Skip-peeled. 90% of our customers select Clean peeled, but we offer Skip-peeled at no additional charge.
